Merry and bright...

It was a wonderful December in Malmsbury, punctuated with friendly community festivity and good cheer, albeit cooler than usual but not unwelcome. We had a lovely family day at the Malmsbury farmers and artists market, providing festive themed face painting and sharing joy with our fellow marketeers. Carols in town, and enjoying Kyneton's share of festive events, it has all been rather beautiful. Lovely epicure moments of peace happened before Christmas too with an after school meal had at the Cosmopolitan Hotel Trentham in the fog ! - dinner in the wine room, and on another day, lunching at Glenlyon's General Store. Since Christmas, delights-a-plenty have been enjoyed at the Lancefield Bakery - thank you Dina for the book return ! - and a well earned glass of CraftTea sampled at Lancefield’s Lost Watering Hole Brewery.

Reflecting on 2023 and sharing Leila at Malmsbury with those that have booked their stay we are delighted as we read back over our guest's experiences. Each person’s review - its been a year of 5 stars thanks so very much!!! - helps us see our dream of providing an interesting, 'vintage- modernised just enough’, comfortable place to stay, to recharge and pivot from, to get out and see the best of what awaits in our favourites, the Macedon, Hepburn and Mt Alexander Shires, is happening, and we’re barely 7 months in.

From our family to yours, thank you for being here with us, and we look forward to continuing the story of Leila at Malmsbury with you, so see you for more in 2024!

Leila at Malmsbury Hosts,

Yvonne and Darren Maclean
