So much cool weather, and so much of it was sunny. If you had a chance to get out around Victoria, the water ways in the Macedon and Hepburn Shires were gorgeous this July.
I can't remember when winter looked so pretty. The sunshine warming the cool frosty starts have been great for heading up to Mt Macedon with loved ones to share in great lunch at the Trading Post and then heading back down the Mountain to drive through Woodend for the views across the paddocks around Trentham and Kyneton. Not many know that there are water ways with a heap of options like charming walks, fishing and in some instances, kayaking. Yet for the 'view from the carpark' style activities, its so easy to take in the majesty of winter at beautiful Trentham Falls. They are running at the moment and they spectacular. If you haven't yet had the chance, it might be one of the things you put in your plan of 'things to do' when you book your next romantic getaway to Leila at Malmsbury.
Guests this July have shared how good it was to have Leila as their base to take a good look around the region, catch up with loved ones and take in a great meal at one of the (many!) wineries, enjoying their open fires. And back at Leila the Fire pit has happily been well used.
We'd love to see you so come stay with us this August, but more than anything, we hope you've enjoyed your July.
Drop us a line if you want to organise a special week away at Leila.
Until next time, take care.
All the best, Yvonne and Daren Maclean,
Hosts of Leila at Malmsbury.
