Frosts at night are giving way to the warmth of the sun a bit earlier these days, yes winter is passing and no place shows this happening any better than a visit to country Victoria, Australia.
With the weather changes comes the celebrations and there has been so much activity here in September in and around Leila at Malmsbury.
The 3rd Sunday Artist and Farmers markets have been especially lovely. They share the real sense of Malmsbury’s township and it’s welcome to visitors via some of the most superb delights that the Goldfields have to offer. And then the Daffodill festival seemed to keep offering treats which now just seem to have rolled into a new wave of Springs' next blooms.
In this weather I love to wander the Viaduct, surrounded by the town geese and wild ducks with their ducklings and reminisce of our Patten family’s 150 year celebrations that were held at the Malmsbury Hall in the Botanical Gardens in the 1990’s. Time moving on it’s now 170+ years of family being here, a heritage I feel so very blessed to share... It’s such beautiful country and if you haven’t been here yet, I can only encourage you. Pop on your walking boots, even bring up the bicycles, take a drive, let yourself take a break from home-life and get here to get amongst it.
Spring is just beginning.
On the shared-home front at Leila at Malmsbury, you can come and create great memories of your own, using the ambiance of the garden in Spring, under the festoon lights, taking in a fun game of Pétanque, after a meal under the twilight stars that dazzle through the garden pergola, warmed by the garden’s fire-pit fire after your own day out.
Come and stay a while, be our guests.
